Food Expeditor at Holeman and Finch
We are looking for talented and experienced expeditor to join our team of hospitality professionals. Holeman and Finch is a classic gastropub, presenting artisanal twists on classic dishes with a whole animal, whole vegetable philosophy. With a robust wine list and original, inspired cocktails, there's something for everybody at every time of day. The charming space is filled with cozy booths and over 150 pieces of thoughtfully curated art. In every corner, the restaurant nods to the vibrant arts scene found in Midtown.
What is the Job?
As an expeditor, you will work closely with the front of house and back of house team to ensure food quality and timeliness. You will play an essential role in efficient and smooth ticket times and guest experience. You are responsible for ensuring consistency of product and accurate ticket communication.
What are the responsibilities?
- Maintain a working knowledge of all recipes, steak temperatures, and production times
- Ensure orders are cooked and presented accurately according to the ticket and recipe
- Coursing and plating orders in a timely manner
- Communicating between the front of house and back of house on special requests, allergy information, and 86’d menu items
- Set up and maintain a clean, organized expo station according to brand standards
- Work as a team player, helping your fellow team with guest interactions and bar duties to contribute to a positive working environment
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks and openly communicate with your manager and fellow service team about next steps
- Consistent adherence to the uniform policy
- Reports for duty on time and manages one’s shift, communicating with the management team when leaving their station for breaks or family meal

What are the requirements?
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 2+ year(s) of relevant experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Food safety knowledge with a relevant degree preferred
- Able to move and/or lift heavier product
- Able to stand for long periods of time; occasionally kneel, bend, and crouch as required to reach items at varying height levels
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment calmly and effectively
