Chef de Cuisine - Hopkins and Company
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our team of driven and enthusiastic hospitality professionals. Hopkins and Company is a boutique hospitality group in Atlanta, Georgia. Guided by Gina and Chef Linton Hopkins, we are a team of dedicated professionals championing integrity and generosity in the restaurant industry. Though no two roles are the same, each individual is connected through a shared commitment to great service, celebrating one another, and serving the highest quality food and beverage available. Placement at one of our restaurant locations will be based on individual applicants interest, experience, and availability - please note in your application if there is a location you would like to be considered for.
As Chef de Cuisine, you will lead our sous chefs and hourly back-of-house staff, overseeing the day-to-day operations of all kitchen areas, including production, prep, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving. You will ensure the consistency of our recipes and make certain all line cooks are proficient in preparing each menu item to our exact standards. This role involves planning, organizing, training, and leading efforts to achieve a best-in-class program, ensuring employee retention, guest satisfaction, product quality, and the cleanliness of the restaurant.
What are the responsibilities?
• Ensure consistency and deliciousness of all menu items, training the team to understand and follow the recipes.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all recipes, products and production procedures
• Manages all culinary employees at restaurant location, holding team members accountable to their job descriptions, company policies, and the values of Hopkins and Company.
• Conduct ongoing training to ensure staff members are upholding core values and standards
• Ensuring food cost and labor goals are met, helping to achieve or exceed monthly and seasonal sales goals
• Monitor kitchen safety and cleanliness to ensure always being health inspection ready
• Assist to correct maintenance issues and schedules preventive maintenance
• Nurture farmer and purveyor relationships for best product and cost
• Oversee weekly inventory including ordering, receiving, re-stocking and coding
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized kitchen according to brand standards; restocks all items as needed throughout shift

What are the requirements?
• Culinary degree preferred
• Have at least 6+ years of kitchen leadership experience in fine dining restaurants
• Strong Food safety knowledge. ServSafe Certified.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook 365 and Excel
• Able to move and/or lift heavier product of up to 50 pounds
• Able to stand for long periods of time; occasionally kneel, bend, and crouch as required to reach items at varying height levels
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment calmly and effectively
