Description
Hopkins and Company is looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, food and beverage-loving Operations & Administration Intern to join our team this Summer. This is a unique opportunity to get a first-hand look behind the scenes of the hospitality industry. You will gain exposure to a wide range of operational functions including invoice processing, financial analysis, and office administration tasks. The perfect candidate is hard-working, has a “no task too small” attitude and practices discretion when handling confidential information. 


A Small Sampling of What You’ll Do:  

  • Assist in invoice processing, picking up invoices from brands and organizing and reviewing at the office. 

  • Coordinate office communications, answering phone calls, emails, and taking messages. 

  • Assist with excel and data entry work.  

  • Work onsite at brands as needed, assisting with office equipment, mock health-inspections, and paperwork processing. 

  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resources and financial data. 

  • Assist with meeting set-up, organizing office areas, printing materials, and greeting guests, including new hire orientations and job interviews. 

  • Pickup and drop-off between brand locations as needed to assist with marketing and operational supplies. 

Education and Experience Qualifications:  

  • You have a background (or interest) in office administration or business operations; or are working towards a degree in a related field. 

  • This is a job where you will be privy to financial and human resources information. You must be sensitive and discreet in speaking with others and sharing private details about your job. 

  • You are a rising college senior or junior, or recent graduate. 

  • Must have a car to run errands and perform administrative duties. 

  • Ability to work weekend and holiday hours as needed; to be determined at outset of internship. 

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage projects and perform multiple tasks.  

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and have excellent research and grammar skills. Microsoft Teams preferred.  

  • Respect for our brands and a passion for food, beverage and hospitality – restaurant background preferred.  

What You Can Expect:  

  • Part-Time Paid Internship

  • 20-30 Hours, Tuesday-Friday, 10am-5pm to be confirmed at outset of internship.
